The Press pictured above is used for shooting polyurethane foam into panels that are used to build Walk-in Coolers. This particular Press is 26′ long by 4′ wide with a 6″ wide by 1 1/2″ deep double step in the back of the lowest section for doing corner panels.
The Press uses (6) 10 ton Screw Jacks with a load sensing system to regulate the clamping pressure. But we have also designed one that uses hydraulic cylinders to supply the clamping force. The temperature of the press is regulated by a hot water circulating system. A major advantage of this design is it is a “C” frame design so that long panels can be loaded from the side.
