The press pictured above is used for shooting polyurethane foam into panels that are used to build Walk-in Coolers. This particular press is 26′ long by 4′ wide with a 6″ wide by 1 1/2″ deep double step in the back of the lowest section for forming corner panels.
This press uses six 10 ton Screw Jacks with a load sensing system to regulate the clamping pressure. However we have also designed a press that uses hydraulic cylinders to supply the clamping force. The temperature of the press is regulated by a hot water circulating system. A major advantage of this design is its “C” frame shape that facilitates loading long panels from the side.
